Local outreach is a natural extension of TACF’s ministry to the city of Tucson and the local neighborhood. While our weekly food distribution program may be our most visible local outreach, other formal and informal outreaches continue throughout the year. Perhaps our most high profile outreach is the annual Thanksgiving Outreach to families in our neighborhood. 

Held the weekend before Thanksgiving, this event provides turkeys and food boxes to those in need for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and serves hot meals to several hundred people. Puppets and face painting are highlights for the many children attending this event, while others receive prayer for various physical, emotional, and other needs.

Other events, such as training seminars, provide additional avenues for organized ministry within our community. As each new year unfolds, we look forward to new opportunities to bless our city with the love of Christ.
